Do you think my best friend likes me when she doesn't seem happy with what I do?

ok heres the problem in the swimming when i did 7 flip in 1 breath and i told her she just said good job and she was doing her homework that time in the swimming pool.did i misunderstand her?

Yes she likes you... maybe you were looking for more of an applause, because you feel you need this positive attention. . She said "good job!" That's a nice thing to say. . and it's true too!! She could not give you her undivided attention at this time because she was doing homework.. which takes alot of focus sometimes... especially if she is figuring out a problem, or has a deeper concept to understand...she may not value athletics as you do, not be good at this, and therefore, puts her emphasis on her studies... also sometimes people have a hard time transitioning from something important such as studying, to paying attention to something else with the full attention you seem to have needed. I'm wondering if you may feel insecure, and need alot more positive attention from other people like your parents, and aren't getting what you need and deserve.

Don't worry bout it! She was doing what she needed to do and you were too. Were you proud of yourself when you did the 7 flip? Then that is all you need to worry about. Sounds a bit like you are upset because she didn't give your expected answer and therefore you became feeling invalidated. Know within yourself if you did well at something or not and if you know you did your very best, that is all anyone can do. It really doesn't matter what anyone thinks if you know that you could do no better! Start appreciating you for what and who you are.
