Packard Bell is a good make and that might have everything you want. However my partner and I bought a new laptop last week and we think it's great. It's an Advent 8109 and it cost £399 from Dixons online. It's also available from PC World at the same price and Currys at £50 more. Curry's and PC World are instore prices. It's a Media Centre PC, which means it's particularly good with music, videos, photos, etc. It has a 60gb HDD hard drive, 1 gb ram, 1.6 celeron processor. For more information about this laptop, have a look on any of the store's websites. They'll have all the information you need. I hope this helps, and happy computing!

Hi would just like to warn Charlene T some of theese free giveaways are not just free giveaways and a ctually con you ito making big payments. Also i do not know if you have Mcafee site advisor but when i went on that link it repoted that it had "phishing and other scams 4 times" and "bad shopping experience 3 times"
I do not know if this means any thing to you but this is not a good sign and would strongly advise you to read through there terms and conditions very thoroughly.
I would recommend IBM as a top laptop as i have a IBM tinkpad and could not fault it.
Hope this helps

Go for IBM - they are superb and last for ever
I bought 3 T40's for my family and they are working like a dream and the best thing about it is that they cost £300 each (specs: 1GB Ram, 40GB Hard drive, Pentium Centrino, WiFi, etc)
If you want to stretch to nearer 400 pounds, go for a slightly higher model, like the T41 or T42.
You won't be disappointed - check out reviews by searching in Google!
If you are going to buy a laptop which is best for the money, then without a doubt use eBay.
Good luck

the in hardship-free words laptops that you will be ready to get less than $400 can be a netbook. they gained't be ready to run Vista properly. it really is the reason they run XP or Linux. And,some structures contain a gadget restore discs, others do not.
