Take a series of very deep breaths. You hiccup bec your diaphragm is contracting. If you take deep breaths it puts the diaphragm back to normal and controls the contractions. It usually works for me every time!

A teaspoon of soy sauce. No joking! It works instantly and every time! If you don't have soy sauce I find that a teaspoon of lemon juice often does the trick.

I think really hard about when my next hiccup is about to start. A lot of times, I never have that next one.
Good luck,

I take a glass of water and put a kleenex over the glass, pull it tight around it. Hold it and drink out of it. I swear if you do it right it works most of the time.
