I had an aunt whom this happened to when wearing gold and the gold was of quality, not plated or fake. It has to do with your body chemistry, call it an allergy if you like. Although, allergies are usually accompanied by other symptoms as well. Depending on the style of the earrings, you can get pads placed on them so that it won't cause the reaction.

if they are fake that happens to every one. if they are real you are allergic to gold.
