You were born on December 31, 1977, and today is January 1, 2007. Yesterday was your 29th birthday. Two days ago, you were still 28. Today you are 29. One year from now, on January 1, 2008, you will be 30. On December 31, 2008, you will be 31. Since that date is in 2008 and this is 2007, that is still officially "next year".

Although The Bertis and Keith P answers might be what you expect, don't dismiss, that perhaps you are a slow maturer. For some reason, this year will make you advance spiritually one more year. Perhaps this year's maturity will be enhanced by this year's global warming.

you turned 29 years oldon december 31. today is january 1st. 2 days ago was december 30 and you were 28 years old. if today is january 1st then you turn 30 this year (because your b-day is december31st.) and 31 next year.

that i think would be possible if you try to live the next year of your life not trying to appreciate the blessings each day would bring.. maybe if you give a lot of your time for work and you missed to take a good look of what's happening around you, or perhaps giving a lot of attention to the ones you love or simply giving more time for yourself.. just my opinion. i hope you do understand what i mean. just enjoy life!

Your birthday would have to fall on the Feb. 29th for this to be possible or on Dec 31st.
