What is the mechanism by which the athletes are benifited and why is this dangerous also ?

Blood doping this way increase the oxygen level in the blood stream allowing for me energy to be produced by the muscles and more movement before the levels of lactic acid build up which can make performance harder.
Its the same reason why athletes will do high altitude training cause of the increase in oxygen levels in the blood.
