Hell yeah. My cousin has the same car with a cold air intake, exhaust system and a race header. Acura/Honda makes tough engines with a lot of potential. The integra GSR only weighs about 2600 lbs. Many after markets parts are sold for also. P.S. I have a stock 05 Acura RSX type S and smoked my cousin's modded GSR by a full car length. =)

Very reliable!
Keep up all routine maintenance and you should be fine.
I have had so many of these cars they were all great and quite resilient to daily driving and the occasional race.
Make sure you put a kill switch on it so it does not get stolen. Even the 99-01 integras have the immobilizer I always recommend a second way to keep what is yours.
Enjoy,
KC

Integras are very good cars. I have a 1990 Integra with 145,000 miles and it runs like a champ. Also have a 2002 RSX. Neither car has given me any problems.

Acura is just a high dollar Honda...Great cars, just make sure the timing belt gets changed at regular intervals.

Stick with a Honda. Acura is not worth the extra money. It is for people that want to think they drive a high profile car but can't afford a real high end car (i.e. BMW, Mercedes). Hondas are even better mechanically.

They are great cars. I would consider switching from a performance standpoint tho, not necessarily to go smaller. You could just go Civic for that.

basically if you dont get it i will hurt you...its the best car you'll ever own, and in my opinion the best car to learn how to race in, you have to be careful in certain conditions and just makes you a better driver when you get something with much more power...so basically, buy the car, and drive it for the next 10 years and then sell it to me...
