Portland needs a veteran PG who can mentor Bayless. JKidd would be an awesome addition, but I'm not sure he wants to leave Dallas. I am a huge Rudy Fernandez fan, and they need to find a way to get him some minutes whether that means go small and let him or Roy play 3, or if it means go big and let him play PG with Bayless coming off the bench. Fernandez is really similar to Turkoglu except he plays a little better defense and does not shoot as much so I'm not sure why they wanted Turk so bad. Their 3 big needs seem to be PG, SF where Outlaw is not the answer, and maybe some insurance if Oden is a bust. But yes, not getting Turkoglu may be the best thing for them this season.
