That guy has no interest or ability in leadership. Do you actually think he cares for America? His allegience is to Haliburton and when you clear the sand out of your ears you will realize those are farts coming out of his mouth, thats why he hasn't said anything different for the last six years. Thanks for the laugh.

Amazing how stupid some people seem to be... I guess you are unaware of the fact:

a) that the President does not create laws... that is the SOLE job of the US Congress. (Article I, Section 1 US Constitution)

b) It requires first the vote of 2/3 of both Houses of Congress or the application of 2/3 the STATES legislatures to PROPOSE an Amendment... and then requires ratification of 3/4 of the states. (Article V, US Constitution)

You may wish to call me a "con-sheep"... but as another pointed out... at least we KNOW the Constitution... AND we can SPELL.

rest easy...first, bush can't, as president, 'change the law'...the legislative branch passes laws, NOT the executive branch...second, any change would require an amendment to the constitution, a process that takes years...third, it would not apply to the current occupant of the white house-this aspect was thoroughly researched back in the 80's when some mulletheads wanted to impose even MORE reaganism on us...so, the only way for bush to stay in office past the end of his term would be, i'm guessing, to declare martial law and suspend the constitution...and even 'the decider' isn't stupid enough to try that...

It could not be done by changing the law, only by amending the Constitution. This went back to the 1940s when a repeat of FDRs four elections was found undesirable.

That won't happen because of something called the constitution. Some people need to read it and get a better understanding.

Only if you liberal dolts admit you were wrong about the President being a "fascist" when the 44th President of the United States is inaugurated on January 20, 2009.

It could happen: Read this....

Executive Order 12656: "ASSIGNMENT OF EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS RESPONSIBILITIES",

"A national emergency is any occurrence, including natural disaster, military attack, technological emergency, or other emergency that seriously degrades or seriously threatens the national security of the United States. Policy for national security emergency preparedness shall be established by the President." This order includes federal takeover of all local law enforcement agencies, wage and price controls, prohibits you from moving assets in or out of the United States, creates a draft, controls all travel in and out of the United States, and much more.
Martial law can be declared due to natural disasters, Y2k Crisis, Stock Market crash, no electricity, riots, biological attack, .... anything leading to the breakdown of law and order.

President Bush cannot change a Constitutional amendment on his own genius.
Call me a consheep if you like, but at least I know enough about government to know what the hell I'm talking about.

Moot point, he can't change the law by himself. If he could I would have to change my name to Lynette Fromme.

Firstly, it's "past 2009", O Wise One.

Secondly, there is no way that Bush alone can change the law -- thereby proving your own ignorance TWICE in one post.
