What is good pet type of like a fish or easy care amphibion?

I have a betta, and he's very low maintenance (and inexpensive). Just regular water changes.

I had a newt once, and he was pretty easy, too. :) But I prefer my Betta. Newts are slightly more work.

Betta is the best fish for a kid or someone knew to having fish as they don't need much in the way of a tank setup like some fish do

bettas and goldfish are pretty easy to care for for fish. my sister had a fire bellied toad. you can't pick them up but all they need is a dry place, a water dish to sit in, and crickets to eat.
