to go to different fast food and pizza joints and was them on a scale of 1-5 how important is education to you, then going to a college campus and asking the same question and comparing the 2?

I guess so..as long as you are not judging.
I think you know the answer already...common sense tells you the answer.It would not be an experiment...it would be backing an already proved theory.
However continue if you need to... but all you will find out is most
everyone that works there.....Is working his/her way through college.

it depends on what you're trying to find out. are you trying to compare the importance of education in two (probably largely different) demographic groups? then it might be a decent experiment.

It's not really an experiment. It's more of a descriptive study. I couldn't tell you if this is a good study unless you told me what you are attempting to study. What are your hypotheses?
