Why so many narrow minded Christians in the Bible Belt? how did they get that way?

Why are they so so stupid and arrogant acting?

Bible Belt? Where? I know of several...Salt Lake City, Utah and Buffalo, NY area. I know that both areas have a higher population then the country. I sense most churches that's located near or around cities are more political and less down to earth. I live in the Appalachian Mountains now, and the churches are far more homier, some still have outhouses. When was the last time you heard a person play a fiddle and not a violin in church? Ohhh...a fiddle and a violin is the same instrument, it depends on how a person plays it that determines whether it's a fiddle or violin.
