My friend is doing it, and i dunno what to think. If he really loves her, I mean, I guess it's ok, but he doesn't even know her so i'm confused.

I have learned from my own experience on chat that you can get to know a person very well, perhaps better than you ever would in person. So yes it is possible that they have a true close relationship, that will work. It is good that he has a good friend like you tho who is concerned about him in this. I think he should wait a long enough period to be sure that it is love and not infatuation tho. I have seen many on-line romances. Many have turned out great. I have 4 friends who have married "off the internet". they are all still together and happy. But i have seen alot of quick, hot relationships also, that did not last the test of time. So is why i say he should be in steady contact with her for at least 8-10 months b4 thinking marriage. Hope this helps. Best of luck to your friend. May God bless them if this is the real thing.

I think it's absurd! How can 2 ppl get to know or survive a relationship that lacks all the esentials to keep it healthy?! Not to mention.....it's not legal....... She might as well put a buttonair (sp) on the computer and marry it !! Hun, your doubts are her worst nighmares coming true, because, nothing worthwhile ever comes from this type of on-line relationships. If you can rescue your friend from some needless heartache and trouble, now's the time! Send in the troops (friends). (straight-jacket, if necessary) But, do everything possible to get her to see the truth and get her a life !!!!
Good Luck!

Yes, it is kind of dumb..
I dont mean that bad either...just think about it..Anyone can act like anyone they want to be online..
In real life marriage, you see that person everyday, day in and day out..You know who they are..You love the way the are.
Communication is the key to a relationship, and im sure online they get to type alot..but how can you fall in love and stay in love with that..?
Alot of the reasons I love my husband is because, I see him everyday..I love the look in his eyes, when he comes home from work everyday and hugs me, I love the way his hair is sweaty from working hard in the garage or wherever..I love the way he wraps his arms around me.
How can your friend experience any of the real life things online?
This is kind of sad..Maybe your friend has low self esteem, and just thinks he needs someone to fill that void in his life.
I think a guy would like to see a girl, and fall in love with the way she looks, the way she carries herself, the way her hair falls in her face when she is laughing...all the little things..
I understand why you are confused...Just give him some time, or get him to meet some other girls that live near by.
Hope this helps some...

What is an On line marriage? Is it even legal?
I never heard of it, but if she wants to be that idiotic, just sit back and enjoy the show, it's her life.
Maybe she will give birth to a cyber baby?

I'm not crazy about on-line relationships.
Meeting on-line is OK....but a relationship only grows when the people are in touching distances most of the time.
