depends on the genre and your type of artwork. i mean, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say.
as for me i love shoujo so i like:
*Yuu Watase's anime/manga
*Matsuri Hino's mangas
*Arina Tanemura's mangas
*DN Angel anime/manga
*CLAMP's anime/manga
*Kare Kano is unique.
Still, it has to have a good plot too or else it wont click =)
