The vagina does not smell like fish, unless there is an infection.
A fishy odor is the classic symptom of bacterial vaginosis, a common vaginal infection. It is not an STD. However trichomonas (which IS an STD) can also cause this smell, although it is less common.
The odor is often strongest after sexual intercourse because the semen reacts with substances (amines) in the vaginal secretions.
Bacterial vaginosis is easily treated with a course of antibiotics, or sometimes an antibiotic vaginal cream.

if it smells, it is bad. The same goes for fish. If fish has a fishy smell - toss it. If the other has a fishy smell, you should toss it elsewhere.. haha

neither...a woman whose vagina smells like fish is either not cleansing properly after sex or she has an infection.

well both smell the same......that's because they are in similar situations.....liquids around them that never dry out. Of course for vaginas.....specially after urination and not cleansing properly or even if cleansed properly, but not dried adequaltely letting it stagnate or long periods of time leads to infection and then the fishy smell....unlike some who said it was only meant for hookers.......PLEASE it's also seen in people who live/work with bad sanitation facilties or who are too lazy to take care of oneself. By the way....this stench also comes from men too many a times.
