i dont think it was intended for rich people, more like for people who could have an impressive sweet 16 birthday party that's cool and entertaining enough to put on tv.
then the rich kids got ahold of it, and putting anyone with any less money on there would just look pathetic in comparasion.
if your daddy cant buy you a bmw and pay $25,000 for your throwdown, I wouldn't go for it. I mean, showing your friends chillin in a back yard wouldn't be too fun anymore.

Yeah it seems that way. I never got a sweet sixteen or a new benz for my birthday. Heck I got a used 1995 dodge caravan when I graduated high school and I was thankful for that. Most of those kids will never appreciate what they have. It is sad.

i don't know, but it sure does seem like it. every single girl/boy that has a party is rich. i always wondered if mtv gives them any money for the party, considering they are putting the show up.

it really does seem that way....those girls are WAYY too young to appreciate all that money their parents spent on them i mean i had a sweet 16 in a hotel and all that jazz...and honestly i don't remember much of the events of that day.....they exploit it way too much
