I have a black Zune and I love it! Here's why:
1.bigger screen
2.scratch-resistant, durable
3.feels nice in the palm of your hand, really
4.has a nice UI design (way better than ipod)
5.has wi-fi feature so you can send songs & pics to other Zunes
6.has built-in FM tuner
7.you can change the background pic for the whole menu system
8.Zune software has a subscription feature so you can download a lot for 1 price
9.can sync with the Xbox 360
10.you can view videos and some pics in landscape mode (on it’s side) so you just turn it on it’s left side (makes it great for watching videos)
11.you can get 14 day free-trial for Zune Marketplace
12.is something new and has latest technology
Try it out yourself. You might like it.

They Had A Problem WIth The Zune Already, But They Got It Fixed Quick, It Was The Battery That DId Not Last A Long Time, They Are Very Reliable Players, I Did Not Regret The Purchase One Bit, Ive Had Mine For 3 Months

i have a zune and i love it. it has way more features then ipods do. it has the wireless feature which is really kool, the built in FM tuner which isnt that important to me but again its something ipods dont have, and something i really like is the customizable background feature, which lets you put any picture you want as the backdrop of your zune screen for menus and the main screen. that compared to ipods plain, white, boring, background. you could wait for the next zune but who knows when that would be released. the zune has the ability for the system updates so whatever new things came out you would be able to have so the only different thing would be how it looks..

Reliable can be boring sometimes, I understand that. And as hardware goes the Zune does have some nice features that I'd like to see incorporated in iPods. But the problem I have with Zune, and the reason I'll never purchase one, is the system that Microsoft has set up for buying music.
You buy "credits" and then redeem these "credits" for music that has not price, but has the number of credits required. It seems designed to create differential pricing for songs based upon popularity and/or the demands of the artist(s).
Apple iTunes keeps it simple -- .99 for individual songs, and clear pricing for albums.

yeah, wait to see some more reviews about the zune
the good thing about the zune is, if someone else you know has it you can trade songs, but the traded songs will only last 3 days
+ you know that the ipod is reliable, and you want have any problems with it
+ipod is much easier to work (i think)
+ipod is a lot more popular
