it depends on what you call "normal". If your dog physically talks to you in english or any other language you may speak, then your dog is extraordinary and perhaps the biggest scientific breakthrough. I would give you advice to not show him to the rest of the world as he will fall a victim to science and observation. if you feel you have some sort of spiritual bond and feel you can understand him, then you are very luck. souls are prisoned inside the shell of the body and they find it very difficult to come out. i would say that you are a very spiritual man. in thta case, do not trade foods (unless you want to eat his food), but simply make some more of whatever you are eating and give it to him. It's normal that he talks to you (my dog talks to me), but the trading foods may not be normal. My dog wants his food AND mine, too. He doesn't like to share, and he'll guard his even if he doesn't want it.

nah it's normal and he probably likes the looks of your food better. be a sport trade him every once in a while

Sure it's normal. My cat always looks at me with a weird stare before asking was it me that farted heheh. He's only doing that to seal the fact that HE is the one with flatulance issues.. darned ugly furball..

perfectly normal, my dog always does that with me and i always cheat him from his food... stupid dog... now he eats all this 'good food' such as meat and craap like thaat whilst i eat fabulous dog chunky food!

you should trade foods with him if he has something yummy like leftovers. it is normal
