Does your city have a local museum pr a local chapter of the Genealogical Society. They might actually know who bible it was plus local county museums have a special section for local history and theres usually bibles in there.

The oldest bible I have is from my great grandma and it was given to her in 1914.
Ask some of your older family members who it belonged to. Stories are passed on, I have many treasures, and now that you have found something intangible, ask questions about it. You may find your answers.

I've got my Grandad's Bible which is about 90 years old, I've also got a Bible one one my aunts gave my Mam on her 14th birthday; neither are around today so it's quite precious.
