They very well could. The National League downright sucks, especially the Central Division. If Ben Sheets stays healthy, and if their young hitters like Prince Fielder finally live up to their potential, I can see them making the playoffs. Ned Yost is an underrated manager.

Yes. The Brewers have the best starting pitching in the NL Central. They have a ton of depth at the starting pitching position. They have one of the best if not the best Bullpens in the game. They have 5 power pitchers including a closer who can throw in the upper 90's, and 1 of those pitchers can hit 100mph. Followed by a change up specialist. The Brewers will also have one of the most feared line-ups in the game.
The Brewers were only 8.5 games back in the NL Central even though they lost 3/4 of there infield, and 2 of there starting pitchers for most of the season. That is AMAZING!! Now this offseason they upgraded the C, SP,CF,RF and the Bullpen. Plus they have a ton top Prospects who could impact the team this season.
To under estimate the Brewers is a huge mistake. They will make the playoffs in 2007.

It's definitely a possibility. The NL Central is weak, the Brewers have the best starting pitching in the division, and they have a core of rising star hitters. Milwaukee will be glowing if the Brewers make the playoffs this year.

The Brewers will barely beat out the Astros for the NL Central. They are the most improved team in the NL Central finishing only 8 ½ back last year. The Cardinals will be plagued by numerous injuries and shady pitching.
1. Brewers
2. Astros
3. Cardinals
4. Cubs
5. Reds
6. Pirates

I doubt it, even though the NL Central is perceived as weak, (Cards are the champs after all), it is a very competitive division. Almost any one of the teams could conceivably win the division. Well, except the Pirates.
The only way the Brewers could make the playoffs is to get a wild card.

Milwaukee had 75 wins and 87 losses putting them 8.5 games behind WS champions the Cardinals last year. They are in a tough division and don't stand much of a chance with losing Carlos Lee mid-season and Rickie Weeks visiting the DL much last season. Ben Sheets is projected to be one of the top 9 SPs this year due but, is threatened by the DL. Adding Johnny Estrada will help them but not to the playoffs. I am sorry to say it will be a long time until the Brewers will see the playoffs.

Yes they will if they can stay healthy. Why would anyone become a red sox fan not like you guys have won so much. The Cubs suck they wasted money on nobody and will be below 500. St. Louis is weakened pitching will kill their return to the world series.

They've got a much better shot at it this year than they have since 1992, when they were eliminated on the second-last day of the season. Then again, that's what you get for re-signing a broken down pitcher instead of one of the best leadoff hitters of his time.
I'm from Toronto, so many thanks to the Brewers for that move.

No, I like the Suppan and Caupuano 1-2 punch but Sheets wont stay healthy and they don't have enough offense or experience to compete with the Cardinals/Cubs/Astros.
