I've been curious to know this, too, so I found an online area calculator.

Since dimensions vary from pitch to pitch, the acreage varies. At the international level, where the width can range from 64 to 75 meters and the length by 100 to 110 meters, the acreage can be anywhere between 1.58 and 2.04. Non-international, the ranges are greater: 50 to 100 (!) yards wide, 100 to 130 yards long (without making a square), for 1.03 to 2.69 acres.

The Wembley pitch is 1.76 acres.

(Always funny to have questions involving numbers.)

An acre is 43,560 feet. A tennis court is 7,200 square feet. So, a tennis court is about twice the size of a house and much smaller than an acre.

FA recommended pitch size for Seniors is 110yds x 70yds = 7700 square yards (divide by 4840 for acres) = 1.59acres.
