its beyond me pal.maybe its because he did soooo well for england(not),or maybe it was because of his amazing managerial career(not)at where was it?stockport?or sumwhere?or maybe its because of his on screen charisma+charm?the way he just oozes the punditry out of the screen to you?(not),or maybe,a relative of his works at the beeb+they got him the job? either way,he shouldnt be there.he missed more than he scored, just like andy grey shouldnt be on sky sports.eeza notha plank!!

Mate if you think he is bad how about Mark "the tash" Lawrenson, that 2@ is a self-opinionated buffon that is living off the license payers money. He is so far up his own rectrum all you see is his feet.

Yes - I do have something personal against him as he always has negative things to say about my beloved Aston Villa, so much so that last May I challenged him via the BBC's Sports email football linkup to a boxing match in aid of Children In Need, surprsiingly he did not respond. Now I am in my late 30's overweight & only played football at Sunday Side level !

Back to Carlton Fisty rather Palmer, yes the guy is a dunce & looks like a duck - he is weird & easily pleasable one minute he is talking to his co-pundits ( exempt the task from this & replace with prat ) & then suddenly gets all over excited by the game he is reviewing. Wow wee - simply things for simple minds.

I don't know. The bloke is a plum. He couldn't play the game, and he can't talk the game. He should bugger off and leave it to the pros.

And personally I think he was *the* worst to ever grace the England shirt with his "presence". Apart from, perhaps, when David James was in goal.

He keeps Garth (Mr Pontification) Crooks under control. Also he looks like the 80's puppet Pob.
