The premium is just the core 360 with a hard drive and a silver tray.

People say that the premium is so much better than the core because by just paying 100 bucks more (which is the price of the 20 gb hard drive), you get the hard drive, and you also get a wireless controller and the component-composite cable. So, you save around 30 or 40 bucks just by buying the premium instead of buying the items individually.

With the hard drive, you can get access to XBL, and you can play some XBX games on the 360.

It would add a Hard Drive and yeah you could have Live. Heck I have a premium and can take my hard drive off. It is detachable and meant to be. All the core was was a cheaper system so they cut things like the Hard Drive off. Then you can buy a memory card for less and use that instead to save. Really though better to have a Hard Drive.

its called "MEMORY".....seriously, what do you think a hard drive does? it stores MEMORY! :) the core also comes with a wired controller when the premium comes with a wireless and it does not have the connection for a HDTV.
