Hellz, NO!

That movie was nothing like the comic book.

First off, why have dark-haired surfer Keanu as Constantine, when the original character is supposed to be a blond British guy?

And why did they have to make the movie with such a strong Catholic background when Constantine has NOTHING to do with any one particular religion?

Constantine is supposed to be more along the lines of X-Files/Indiana Jones type of character. He investigates supernatural occurrences. Nowehere does it say that Catholicism/Christianity has a monopoly on supernatural situations.

That movie was just as bad (and as incorrect) as those horrible X-Men movies.

Edit: And if your only argument is that it's better when you haven't read the comic book then WHY have a movie based off of the same character, ya f*cking idiot?!?

Why not just change the name of the character for the movie? They could have done the same thing for those atrocious X-Men movies since they were NOTHING like the comics. You got X-Men meeting at times when they shouldn't. The age differences are WAY off. Iceman and Angel are closer to Cyclops age, yet in the movie they're still teens? WTF? And Jean Grey looks old enough to be Scott's mom. YUCK! And the stories are a bastardization of Chris Claremont's wonderful Dark Phoenix Saga that the movie butchered beyond all recognition.

It was ok but Keanu still needs to take some acting lessons. He didn't do very well in that movie =/
