More questions: If another student is copying your paper, do you know? if you know, do you allow it? and why? If you don't allow it, do you report it?

. I am in my 4th year and I've seen a lot at the exams. Some of my colleagues tried to cheat with mobile phones. They made pictures of the courses and they uploaded the pics on the phone. The teachers got the idea and now they don't allow phones at the exam. My colleagues now use an invisible hands-free device to cheat. It's so small it's invisible. I bet that if they get caught they will be expelled...
It is true that some professors allow to be cheated. Some will read the newspaper or read a book. But most don't allow cheating and they are always on the hunt. Btw tomorrow I have an exam so I better go study some more lol.

I think the instructor doesn't catch it. Other students usually report it because lets be honest here, if you are being judged and someone is cheating to get an upper hand, you as a student, would not and should not let it continue. You are hurting yourself. It is foolish to cheat because all universities have severe punishments for cheating.

I think in a small class setting an instuctor can tell if certain students are cheating. Ex: not understanding anything during class but suddenly knowing exact definitions word for word on an exam- kind of obvious. But in large lecture halls, they aren't going to know faces with names. And if someone wants to spend a crapload of money for college and then cheat then it'll come back to get them in the end. How embarassing would it be to apply for a job after getting a degree but not being able to do anything?

you mustn't even pondering dishonest on your tests in case you attended your preparation & studied not ordinary. I not in any respect cheated in college yet in case you hit upon a fashion to cheat, bypass for it, then go searching the school room even as the exam is in progression, & see how the others have their noses to the grindstone, because they studied. they could have earned their good grades truly & proudly. in case you get stuck, you would accept a failing grade & which will be on your college records. nevertheless imagine dishonest is cool?

It's not cheating...It's called "utilizing all available resources"...Just like in the real world.
