Since it is commonly agreed by the scientific community that it is 90% likely that humans cause greenhouse gases, wouldn't we be responsible for our own pending holocaust?

Who even mentioned Mr. Gore? Please! This is just a simple rhetoric!

It's almost as bad. And in the long run it may be worse, if they successfully block critical steps to limiting greenhouse gases, and the result of that is the deaths of millions of people.

Global warming has been occuring since the 'little ice age' ended. Why are you just now worrying about it? If we eliminated all green house gas producers today, there is no one living who will see the effects reduced.

I don't deny there has been a warming trend for the last 600 years. And it will probably go on for some time to come. Then Mother Nature will take care of the problem just like she always does. She's make things cool down and we'll have another Ice Age. And then we'll have another warming trend , then anohtere cool down. Are you getting the picture? Man may not be around like we are today but the earth will survive.

This can not be a serious question, since it is insulting to the Real Science of Geology.
Man has little to do with global warming, and Geologists have proved this fact.
Global warming, and cooling, is a natural cycle of the Planet Earth. It has been going on for untold years. Read a book by Geologists on this subject, and you will learn the truth, and not the fiction of Want to be Politicians, and controllers of the Planet.
The reason the United States did not sign the Kyoto Accord is because is was a scam to steal the Wealth of our Country, and to distribute it among the third world countries.
The Holocaust was man made, and is denied by many who hate, and want to eliminate the entire Jewish Race.

Do you really think Al Gore believes in Global Warming? He uses it as a tool. He expends more Greenhouse gases going around the world to preach about it than I will use in my lifetime. If he really believed it he wouldn't do that.

Oh. I'm sorry. Too stupid to understand? What I am saying is that if you Global Wraming fanatics really believed what you preached then you would live differently, and show the rest of the world how to live. Al gore is the prime example, but take yourself for example, how much energy are you using with you computer right now? Maybe that energy comes from nuclear powerwhich is not creating a lot of the so called "greenhouse gasses". More likely it is coming from coal, which creates a lot of gasses. What do drive? How much energy are you consuming? Let me guess everything in your world is solar power. Get a grip.

The holocaust was an historical reality, a fact easily and consistently demonstrated.

Global warming is an observation, whose causes are the subject of some disagreement among eminent scientists.

The cases are not remotely similar.

Why should the be? The Holocaust is an undeniable historical fact. There are literally millions of pages of documentation left by the people who the crimes.committed

"Global Warming" is an unproven theory which disregards the FACT that climate change is cyclical. Do you deny the Ice Ages?

No. People who deny the holocaust are idiots--that is a part of history--a terrible part.

I don't hear a lot out there about what we (as individuals) can do about global warming. If you are an expert in that area, feel free to type in the details of what individuals can do about it.

Since their are actually SCIENTISTS who agree global warming is crap science at best than NO. Why aren't you open to a fair and honest debate? Has global warming replaced God for you, is this your new religion??? When we produce 1/30th the amount of carbon dioxide that the earth produces naturally through decomposition, etc. how can you say we're causing it? There is no way we could have such an effect on such a large planet, we are simply not that special.

Just because all of us aren't running around like Chicken little screaming that the "sky is falling" does not mean that we do not care about the environment. Or is the only way to prove that to you is to protest and cry about SUV's on Yahoo Answers?

Hitler was the reason behind the holocaust, Al Gore lies about global warming, so the answer is no. (history books are very helpful when opened and read)
