the baby boomers, one of the largest generations, are growing old. this fastly growing elderly population has many social repurcussions. they are expected to live longer and be more active than previous generations and will put strain on an unprepared government and social services. as these baby boomers leave the job market, many jobs will open up and there will also be a greater need for employees in organizations that cater to the elderly.
