Assuming you catch one alien every 10 seconds you would have to play at least 153 minutes, which are more than two and a half hours.
If you catch an alien every 5 seconds you have to play 80 minutes.
If you catch an alien every 2 seconds you have to play 33 minutes.
If you catch an alien every second you have to play 17 minutes.

The formular is: x + x/y*1000 = 101000, where x is the time you play in seconds and y how often you catch an alien (e.g. one every 5sec, y = 5).

Let's calculate: let A be the aliens captured, and t the seconds elapsed. The punctuation is P = 100A + t, where A <= t (unless you're very quick in capturing more than 1 alien per second). So, 100A + t <= 100t + t = 101t.

If you want to end with at least 101000 points,

101t >= 101000
t >= 1000

So, you will need at least 1000 seconds (16 minutes 40 seconds) to make 101000 points, and this capturing 1 alien per second!

If you don't capture any aliens, you will reach 101000 points in 101000 seconds - that's over 27 hours; a day has 86400 seconds.

Summary: you will reach 101000 points at some time between 1000 and 101000 seconds.
