If you find a white feather in your home it is a gift from a deceased relative or pet. The white feathers you see in the street don't count. I found several feathers especially just after my beloved dog Hannah died and I believe she sent them to me. I felt very comforted by this and I have kept them in a picture frame with her photo. A lot of people will dismiss this as the ravings of a madwoman but it helped me.

I was told the same thing: that if I find 3 white feathers, then I should keep them. But since that time, I have found MANY white feathers. So...I don't know what to think about it.

I have never heard this superstition, but birds and their feathers are covered with all kinds of germs. And angels don't have wings. It's a nice thought, but I don't think picking up a feather is the way to go.

A white feather is a sign of a coward and you are supposed to return it to the sender. There is a film the four feathers watch it.

I have never heard of this before. I do know that in times of war, if a man wouldn`t join the army, for any reason, people would send him a white feather, to indicate that he was a coward,
