The Baudelaires end up on this island and they discover some more about the past, you know, things about there parents. We finally see the end of Count Olaf, as well as many of the other characters. The story involves a baby, a boat, and lots of white clothing.

The last book was okay, to be honest the series was starting to get a little boring by the 10th book, so I don't know. I thought it was kind of sad, but that's beecause endings make me that way. you ought to read it, just to get the ending and to see what happens, but maybe you ought to check it out of the library instead of buying it.

I enjoyed reading The End, but I was hoping for more answers to the Baudelaires' questions. Instead the story points out that the unfortunate events that befall the children are part of a much larger story of the unfortunate events that happen all over. They find out that there aren't any safe places where they can hide away from the treachery of the world. I would recommend reading it, but don't expect all the loose ends to be tied up. I agree with the earlier answerer who suggested that you borrow it from a library, unless you own every other book in the series and really want to own this one too.

The Baudelaire orphans wash up on an island with Count Olaf, and are taken in as castaways by a native named Friday, who abandons Count Olaf on the coastal shelf.

The orphans find themselves trying not to succumb to the peer pressure of the island's administrator, Ishmael. They learn secrets about their past, and about the pasts of their parents and others.

I still didn't learn what V.F.D. stood for, really, but if you have been reading the series since book one, like I have, then you will find this book a so-so end to the series. I think you should re-read book 11, or you might have forgotten a lot of stuff, like I did.

I would give it a 3 1/2 out of 5.

The buadelaires are stranded on an island and find out more about their past. Kinda boring, and it dooesn't resolve the series very well, but, if you liked the rest of the series, buy it.
