We wouldn't be in this predicament, or we wouldn't be having such a hard time trying to get people to pay attention to the damage we have caused, if it weren't for folks who think that some goatherds in the mideastern desert three thousand years ago predicted the future history of the world.
Every twenty years since the ancient Romans some religious guy has announced that we were in the "End Times" and explained how the Bible has predicted everything and the world would end pretty soon... So far they have been wrong every single time.
What makes you think you can understand the Bible ( in translation of course, you don't read the original, do you?) better than the hundred generations of people before you? That's pretty arrogant. I prefer to believe that the Bible teaches us to be humble and that its purpose is to guide us in living a better life, not to make us into publicity seeking survivalists.

Global warming will likely lead to destabilization, but it is incredibly hard to pin yearly fluctuations of the weather on climate change. Climate is a longterm phenomenon, as in, on average over the last century temperatures have risen 1 degree Celsius (more than 1 degree F). Weather, of course, fluctuates much more than this, a typical day varying by as much as 10 degrees C. What we do know is that where there is heat, there is energy. A warmer climate likely means more energetic weather patterns, and so in general we might expect all factors of the weather to be intensified. However, different regions will experience this in different ways. Many models predict Europe will become so cold that farming will be impossible while much of America will become so desertified that, well, farming will be impossible.

If you want to think of global warming in a religious aspect, then it would certainly be part of God's plan. It is one of our culture's contradictions that so many people in the U.S. claim to be Christians, but they still freak out over his plans.
I guess if you are not an "end of the world is coming" christian you can still logically believe we are responsible for the Earth.
O.K. As to your question, If the bible, and with it Revelations, is more or less valid, then God would certainly use the laws that govern this world to accomplish his ends. In a world made by God, it certainly made all these rules that we study as science. So why change now. Surely it would have been smart enough to think ahead to the end of his book.
