I'm planning to go there from July~middle of september.
Can anyone tell me just how hot and humid it is and what kind of clothes I will need to bring? And tell me about the hurricanes too, how bad can it get? Will it be cold when there are hurricanes?
thanks

Check the link below to the Chamber of Commerce website. Under Visitor Information click on Weather and then scroll-down. It has a temperature chart that will help you.

I wouldn't worry too much about the hurricanes. They do happen and if so there is heavy rain and wind. But I don't expect it gets too cold. Hurricanes need heat to keep going. They need to be over water and anything below about 80 degrees and they start dying.

The chances are very good that you won't even see or hear about a tropical storm or hurricane while you visit. Not that many hit that area of the coast. They seem to go further north (Galveston to Mississippi) or southwest (Northern Mexico.) There have been some that went ashore around Corpus, but not as many as other areas.

Loose fitting, comfortable, light colored clothes are the best.

Corpus is very humid and hot. Its a very casual town, so shorts and tshirts are good, anything that is cool and comfortable. There hasnt been a bad hurricane in several years. Its always possible that one could hit while you are there, but its not likely. It doesnt get really cold during a hurricane. You shouldnt go outside anyway.
