I recently downloaded Mozilla Firefox but I still have Internet Explorer 7 as well. I want to know whether or not I should uninstall Internet Explorer, because I was about to do it once but it said that since I had downloaded Mozilla after I got Internet Explorer, it depended on Internet Explorer and will not function properly if I unistall it. Should I uninstall it? And if I do, how can I get Firefox to function normally? Thanks!

I would leave Internet Explorer installed. Some websites dont work well with Firefox so it's always good to have IE as a backup.

Firefox is an information superhighway browser (like information superhighway Explorer). Thunderbird is Mozilla's e-mail customer application (like Outlook exhibit). until eventually IE7 got here alongside I continuously used Firefox in determination to information superhighway Explorer because it change right into a lot less liable to blunders, freezing, and diverse different complications, and maximum significantly it had the power to open distinct tabbed information superhighway content in a unmarried window. Now IE7 has stuck up and has tabbed surfing. It also seems to paintings nicely in a great number of alternative respects, so i'm now using it, yet have kept Firefox on my equipment as a "backup". Thunderbird is a good e-mail application, with one exception - it change into unreliable re pictures embedded contained in the textual content. it is it sluggish for the reason that I used is, so updates may have solved that problem.

You're really better off to keep both. Occasionally there are plugins missing in firefox and it is just easier to open IE7 in those cases until you have the time to waste to install the plugins which occasionally are fussy and need to be installed manually.

I did this the other day - just uninstall it, it's pointless to have it taking up space on your computer. firefox doesn't rely in internet explorer, so go ahead and uninstall internet explorer :)

There's no need to uninstall, and as long as u don't use it, it cannot cause any harm (unless it happened before u did the switch).
Delete the shortcut on the desktop so that no one will accidentally use it, and you will be all set.

You can keep both, just choose the one you like best as your default browser. You can even use both at once. I read your question on Mozilla
and answered it with I.E.
