Firstly, my prayers go to everyone that has been affected by this disaster. However, i am a Canadian watching C.N.N. and am discusted with the two state senators. They just held an onsite press conference with the FEMA Director. He got right to the bottom telling people what to expect in the next few hours and days and how FEMA will be assisting. The 2 dimwit senators get up and start praising the "new" FEMA", compairing it to the old FEMA and how it was such a failure in the 2004 and 2005 hurricanes. Do the affected people need to hear about 1 1/2 years ago. People their need to know what will be happening in the "now" not the past. Neither one of them even sent condolences to the families of the people who died. Tell the folks how it is and get down to business.

I live in central Fla. and I agree that they need to deal with getting these people some shelter and comfort instead of using this as their political agenda. It is amazing to me that they can be so callous. The hurricanes were horrible, I know because I was here, no electric for 16 days, some people had it much worse than others, but these people in the tornados were mostly elderly or poor, and they have nothing now, no insurance to pay them off, since the insurance companies ( who have raped everyone for years) dropped Fl policies, it will be very difficult for them to find somewhere new that they can afford since the rents here in Fl have doubled in the last five years, I feel so bad for them, they have nothing left and nowhere to go.

Thanks for the much appreciated prayers. I live in Florida and though no tornado passed in my area, it became stormy and windy. I thought for a moment a hurricane was approaching, though it's not hurricane season yet. I hope this is not an omen for a bad hurricane season this year.
