Hi Tanisha,
As someone else said, acting and modelling are completely different. For acting you need to learn to act, you should get into a local drama group (maybe two). You need to get experience at a Youth Theatre and maybe student films, which don't pay but get you lots of excellent experience.
As you're under 16 you also need to have the schools and local authority's permission every time you need to do a performance (unless its amateur). That also applies to modelling.
At 13 you have a problem -- there are fewer parts for girls (than boys) and a lot more girls want to act. Don't ever make the mistake of thinking you need to look older and more mature, directors want someone who has less acting restrictions who can play younger. (The younger a person is the more restrictions there are.)
Experience is the most important thing, going to any kind of drama school is not important (in fact many directors prefer kids who don't). So the trick is to get as much experience as possible. Getting into student films is very good, there's no pay but excellent experience.
For acting you don't need an agent to get started but for modelling you do really. You *will* need professional black & white photos done for acting ... and colour ones for modelling. For acting they want headshots, for modelling full body shots.
Remember these important things: (1) Any "agency" that wants money up-front is a fraud, and is breaking the law (or will be soon). (2) Any "agency" that does not audition you is probably not worth being in.
The Not A Pushy Mum website (not just for mums and dads, you can join too) (http://www.notapushymum.com/) has lists of auditions being held that are open to anyone to apply to. This site also has lots of information that you need to know. Plus lots of helpful parents (including me: I'm Aladdinsane on that site, one of the Moderators on the forum).
You could subscribe to http://www.starnow.co.uk/ although I recently unsubscribed. It's "good" if you want to get onto reality TV but that's not a good plan for someone who really wants to act. (Please don't make the mistake of thinking Reality TV will give you good exposure.) It does have modelling opportunities too.
Another option is http://www.mandy.com/ which gets lots of student films and is global, it costs nothing (unless you want possible jobs sent to you by e-mail).
In the final analysis remember this, a director always wants someone with the "right look" -- and if you're not what they're looking for they won't choose you. It's not personal.
Stay in school and keep studying, being an educated actress (or model) is better than being an uneducated one: what will you do when you're not working?
Good luck.

guess what? i am 14 and i want the same as you. i definately have the body and figure (weight) for it and my features are good too - not striking. but i lack in height i am only 5"2' and have been for a while now. i dont think i wil grow any taller because i am already a lot taller than my mother. my friends often tell me i stand a chance but my mother tells me i shouldn't reck my life like that because only a very few will make it majority won't get anything out of it. chances are you will earn more if you get brainy and get a job. also because i am realy good at maths, physics, biology, art, drama... weird combo eh? lol so i don't know what to do. i will probably stick to what my mum said afterall, they know best.
i am sure every girl our age wants to make it as a model/actress/singer but very few do. good luck to you =) but maybe you should do i what i do too. but afterall, your life so you decide, and i dont even know how good you are at drama/acting and how you look so i cant say anything. all the best and i hope i helped. cya x

Are you sure you have been choosen by the auditors to do such work. Most people start off their career in their local community, and they move on from there. And you have to have all the features required by the modeling agency. Have they determined that for you yet? Good enough, yes?

You need to join a drama group or theatre school first. Google "theatre schools London" and see what comes up.

Don't do it now, but start training for when you're older now. Go to Theatre School, get trained and go for any auditions you see.

Modelling is completely different to acting, so saying you want to be both suggests you are confused, and probably want fame only.
You need to go to acting school, so start by contacting your local amateur dramatics society.

My dad was an actor, he was on eastenders, only fools and horses and man y other things.
He's agent is called Dolly Brook, if you try and find this person, you may have an amazing chance of working on TV, whick would lead to movies.

Certainly start with amateur dramatics - you may not like acting. As for modelling - it is far different than acting and incredibly boring
