It seems they have developed this stereotype of white people and a lot of them can not make it 5-10 minutes without race coming up in their routine. Is this right? If discrimination is so bad, why are they glorifying it on stage for a laugh?

I have seen both sides, the jokes the black comedians usually
make about whites usually are not degrading to being a white
American. It may be somewhat insulting regarding ethnicity but
they are not commenting on their appearance or any disrespect
to their heritage. In fact most of these comedians usually joke
about themselves ethnically speaking. You need to watch the
cable comedy show white boy in the hood. It is a comedy show
with white comedians who are exposed to lower socieconomy
and exposure to various ethnic groups of that culture, particular
african amercians. Some of their jokes are funny, and some
can borderline insults but if these guys weren't good people
the black producers certainly wouldn't have them on the show.
I think we forget that successful people really don't walk around
with a chip on their shoulder feeling inferior to insults. Only
people that actually fit these molds are probably the ones who
feel the pain. White comedians have been making jokes of other
ethnic groups for years, and still they do,(Robin Williams) yet
no whites ever complained until African Americans, Mexican-Americans and Asian Americans are in the playing field. I think
its good to break the delusion that some of us live in a perfect
society.

Because discrimination is the punch line itself. People take themselves too seriously. Everyone is different. Every race is different. The comedians are stating facts. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear. Sometimes it hilarious. I think if we all stopped for a second and realized that the differences are what make us great we would stop trying to be the same as someone else.

No. They are ridiculing racism and showing how stupid it is. I do wish that there were more of them like Eddy Murphy who were sophisticated enough to impersonate at least 10 different kinds of white people, accents, mannerisms and everything. We don't all talk like Surfers, Rednecks or Garrison Keiller. It would be nice if White people could get away with talking about Black people the same way. If there are any Russian comedians out there, they can get away with it more than other whites because Russians are the way the Irish used to be, socio-economically they aren't really white because of all the broke Russians you see in the welfare lines.

You went to a distinctive college just to get remote from white human beings? :( That sounds extra racist than the rest in this question. in spite of race, gender or courting prestige- of somebody is making discriminating comments, the guy that has a concern with it is going to be the only to handle it quite than gossiping or tattling to a bf simply by fact he's of the comparable race of the criminal. Did you rather only say that white human beings do not journey racism?! right here in Atlanta, issues are surprisingly lots mixed, and that i've got unquestionably been given the stinkeye or chilly shoulder on many activities- surprisingly while with my roommate. i think simply by fact i'm a white female and my roomie is a black male, human beings anticipate we are a pair. And the guff comes from the two races.

Yes they are fueling racial discrimination.

The list of stereo types involving white people is long.

These comedians ( and other things in main stream media)create white guilt.

The mass population is confused.

2 words Lisa Lampanelli, she is very funny and her whole set is basically stereotyping. She is also white. A lot of comedians do that.

Comedians are people who like joking, they get paid for making a fool of someone else, even though they talk about racist stuff doesn't mean they are and most of the time they are just telling it like it is.
