Hi Eyelash hope you have very nice question to share with us.
The smartest thing you can do so far is to take with the free downloads.
Some are completely genuine while others can spread virures to your lovely computer system. To differentiate both of these sites can be difficult.
People do download but at a great risk.
Intall and update the anti-virus software to enable you download.

They're all illegal P2P (person-to-person) filesharing sites. Do not listen to bearshare, limewire, kazaa, or any of the ones that are completely free. This kid I know downloaded like 10,000 songs from one of those sites, then a lawsuit arose against the site for copyright infringement, and the kid had to pay off all of the songs downloaded since all of those types of sites that are free are illegal. Go to google news and type in limewire; lots of people are being SUED for use of it. In music, copyright infringement is when the legal copyright owner of a song (the record company), is not making money from the song being played for free by filesharing. The artist isn't allowed by the record company to do this themselves. You may call it promoting for free, but its illegal. If you want a site that has unlimited access to lots of songs and is legal, it'll cost you money. If you don't want to be taken to court, just use rhapsody, its $15 a month with unlimited access to songs. Don't play w/out paying: if you download the song, the government can track it in your hard drive. You will get caught if you listen for free.
