when can i take a pregnancy test if i dont have regular periods?

i have ovarian cysts and do not have regular periods, so i dont know when i am ovulating. every answer i have found tells me to count from the last day of my period, which hasnt been for months because of the irregular cycles. how long after sex do i have to wait to take a pregnancy test?

That's tough. I have irregular periods and never know when Im ovulating or going to start. I am 9 weeks I took a test because I was throwing up. Before when I tested, I waited three to four weeks after the first time I had unprotected sex just to make sure I would get an accurate test. Alot of the times though I had to get a blood test to tell me but oddly enough the last blood test came out negative when really I was. But that was one time. I think you migt have to do what i did and just go get blood tests done. Good luck!!

I think you can take one around 2 weeks after you think you conceived. I should have known I was pregnant by then,but was in some type of denial. I had headaches and dizziness and soar breasts and couldn't eat much. Then didn't take an EPT till I was 2 weeks late, and I am crazy almost to an hour regular, I regret not taking one sooner to know for sure.

Wait about 10 days, although it may still be early, you can go to the dollar store and buy tests there so you are not spending a fortune!! And they do work. I found out of 2 of my babies from a dollar store preg. test!! Good Luck.

When was the first time you had unprotected sex? If it has be more then one week you should be able to take a HPT. If I were you I would wait two weeks so if you are the pregnancy hormone can build up more. Good Luck .

Do a pregnancy test at home using a pregnancy test stip and go on to ivillage.ca

I would take the test approximately 30 days after intercourse!
