i have a 2001 cadillac sts and my battery died and i have no clue how to charge the battery or where the battery is i popped the hood and its not like a normal car plz help

I would go with the first answer. Also, it is possible that it is in the front corner, but hidden under some other components. I looked at the Dodge Stratus and found the battery buried in the front corner, one could barely see the battery for all of the components and crap on top. I didn't buy the car as I can replace a battery myself, but didn't want to fight with the buried SOB.....

I'm not gonna claim that I know the answer to this 100% but in my car (06 Cobalt) it's in the trunk, under the mat.

Batteries are usually located in the front corner behind either set of headlights. Some people relocate them to the trunk for racing purposes.

Go to your local dealership and ask them to show you where the battery is. They should know!
