I have a D-Link WBR-1310 router..

Before I switched ISPs, both of my ethernet and wireless connections worked.

However, when I switched ISPs to Rogers, only the ethernet worked and my computer was unable to detect the wireless network. I talked to three D-Link customer service agents via phone, was on the line for over 1 hour and 30 minutes, did everything they told me to do, tried contacting ISP, but they simply could not find out what was wrong. Everything is properly connected, I tried everything including power cycle, change all of the wireless settings, tried using all 11 channels, tried every kind of security setting, changing SSID, etc. but the computer was still unable to detect my wireless network. The computer CAN detect and connect to my neighbour's network though,

PLEASE HELP! I have used wireless internet for nearly 2 years and this has never happened to me before. I am puzzled as to why it would never work especially if everything is connected.

Can you confirm that your wireless router is functioning at all (aside from lights on it)? Maybe unplug it and take it to your neighbor's house then plug it in there and see if his computer will detect it. If his won't then it's likely bad.

If his will then at least you've narrowed the problem to the settings on your computer or wireless device - or to something interfering with their connection. Is there a cordless phone near your router - maybe a 2.4Ghz one - even a neighbor's through the wall?

Ethernet and wireless... cable or dsl modem? If so, was this changed when you switched ISPs and are the wireless and ethernet on separate outputs from the modem? Some modems will only function on one or the other but not both.

Good luck.

If you can connect to your neighbor then it has to be something in your network security settings that's locking it out.

My suggestion is to unsecure your network temporarily and verify that you can connect to your network and operate in that mode with both computers.

Then, call the D-Linkers and tell them you want to secure your network.
