to stop air and water infiltration around the new windows, you need to use a closed cell polystyrene backer rod or "rope" between the wall surface and the window frame and then paintable latex caulking. the diameter of the backer rod should slightly larger then the gap - push this back into the gap and then caulk the face of the openingand tool this joint smooth with no gaps in the caulking. Have a wet rag and a dry rag to clean up the excess caulking. This is a messy job but well worth the time. It will be frustrating on the first window but by the third window you will be a pro at it. Talk to one of the vest wearing helpers at your local home store - They will hook you up.

Ugh ! Window replacement ! Bet that cost some bucks ! Foam non expanding type near the jambs. Silicone or other types or caulking are better. Remember Fiber glass should be call Filter glass ! It doesn't stop air movement like Cellouse or Foams.Good luck

Use the spray insulation sparingly, because to much will put pressure on the jambs, and they won't work properly.

spray in is good if you use the minimal expanding kind normal expanding foam will seal windows shut by pressing against the sides

I would use expanding foam, will expand into every crack and creavise that you put it in. Then when dry, cut with a long sharp knife.
