I work in a care home and have been told it's 1st July. Staff will have to leave the building and grounds to smoke; the boss has advised them not to bring their fags with them (I don't smoke), she's trying to give up. However, I don't agree that the residents will have to give up. It's their home for goodness sake and they already have to go outside so its not like its endangering anyone else's health. One of my ladies is particularly upset by the looming ban.

Not soon enough. At least us non smokers actually STOP smoking the passive smoke....the smokers, well outside in all weathers will do alright.

July 1st - I cant wait to see exactly who they think will enforce this. There aren't enough police etc. to deal with real crime at the moment so I thnk its bloody silly to waste more time enforcing this ban !!!!!!!!

I believe it is July first. It will make smokers healthier as they will probably smoke less. Non smokers will also be healthier.
