Both. You could make it more feminine or masculine depending on the spelling.

It's originally an Irish family name, but people have been naming both male and female children with it.

It's one of those names that can go both ways, like Courtney, Taylor, Kim, Jordan, etc... but I would only choose these as femme names because they could cause a boy grief.
