Well, you certainly don't want to forget all the great things that science has done to increase the ease and comfort of our lives. Here's a good example: I live in one cold, cold place. Therefore, of course, I've got Gortex gloves, a Gortex coat with synthetic insulation, big old boots that trap in all my warmth, etc, etc. I can take my dog walking and don't get too uncomfortable. In fact, I can outlast her with all my gear. That's science being very kind.

But that's kind of a lame example, and one that really just demonstrates how dependent we are on advances in technology, whether it's Gortex or the internet, we've a certain debt to all the things we take for granted, things that have increased our day to day comfort levels and made things so much easier.

Medication is another advancement that we take for granted. I had some messed up jaw infection, dead tooth crap over the summer, and if it wasn't for narcotics in that instance I don't know how I would have made it through. But that thinking in and of itself is suspect. I depended on a synthetic narcotic to numb the pain long enough for the dentists to do their surgeries. And to think there's no way I could have done it without the drugs is to underestimate the ability of humans to suffer. And suffering is not always a bad thing. So, while I was certainly more comfortable, I was also, in effect, saying that I need these pills, thus undercutting my own natural fortitude and strength. Not that I'm saying I'd do it any other way, but I think the examples illustrate the pandora's box that technology and science are: We become beholden to things that we suddenly must have. Thus, in the name of comfort, we are perhaps chipping off small pieces of ourselves and auctioning them off to the most enticing bidder.

This is my short take on the matter: We are certainly better off with medicines, new technologies, and scientific advancements. However, they come at a cost, and I believe it is up to each of us to decide for ourselves when the cost paid outweighs the perceived benefits, and from there act accordingly.

Science has changed our life because everything is so much easier. when i want to hand out notes to students i just had one and got rest of the papers photocopied for all the students. it has eased the work of writing it so many times. do i have to get a news paper to get all the news. No i can watch TV to get the live up to date information instead of waiting for the news paper to come every day int he morning.
thanks to science, we know what the weather is going to be like the next day. We know pretty close to the exact temperature.
Without science we wouldn't have medicine, music, television, rubber, ink, planes, plants, cars or stoves. just imagine a life without all these and put ourselves in the old age its unbelievable. There are millions of ways science helps us and our world, but i think there is not enough space to write them here.

Science has made our lives pleasant and comfortable. Technology is a part of science. All of the luxuries that we have, such as T.V., computer, CD and DVD player, DVD's, P.S.P., and other video game systems are all made from technology. All of this entertainment makes our lives pleasant.

There you go, hope I helped a little.
