It's rated PG-13, so I'm gonna say no.

Not appropriate at all. Read this review I found useful:
Some movies are funny, some are not. This movie may be funny to you, if you liked Date Movie, since both films are pretty much the same in cast and script quality.
Epic Movie is a loosely strung together collection of slap-stick comedy sketches based on various epic movies (Pirates of the Caribbean, Nacho Libre, Chronicles of Narnia, X-Men, Superman, etc...) so it's probably helpful if you have seen a few of the epics this movie takes off at, to understand the jokes used. (If you've seen the clips during MTV video awards, you get the idea on the kind of jokes I'm referring to). Epic Movie tries to cash in on the Scary Movie, Date Movie, "Movie" Movie franchise, but doesn't measure up to the originality shown in the Scary Movie series. It doesn't take a genius to recommend that you save your box-office ticket money, and if you're interested, wait for the DVD, since this isn't an essential big screen movie.
Also check out what rottentomatoes had to say:
A laugh-deprived misadventure.

too simple, too vulgar and too obvious to be Funny Movie. It's not even Chuckle Movie or Giggle Movie. It's in your face, with most humor centered around taking characters you recognize and just making them dumber

What was the last studio picture this bad? Maybe 2002's The Adventures of Pluto Nash. I've seen more talent in my cat's last dump.

Pity [the producers] couldn't find anything funny to do once they'd built the sets, and found dead ringers for Anna Paquin, Paris Hilton, P. Diddy and Jack Black.

None of it makes much sense and none of its funny, and to see such truly talented performers like Coolidge, Willard and Kid-in-the-Hall Kevin McDonald, who appears briefly as a seedy, middle-aged Harry Potter, is merely depressing.

Thankfully, at 90 minutes, Epic Movie is anything but epic. Unfortunately, there is little else to be thankful for in Friedman and Seltzer's latest and most meagre lampoon.

i saw it today and i'm 14. theres alot of swearing and lotsa lets say "sexual humor", but i was suprised about how many little kids were there. i didn't think it was appropriate for the little kids acually some i thought was pushing it for a pg-13 movie myself. so i wouldn't let a 8 year old go

There are scenes where a guys testicles are chopped off,
and other stuff, but I dont want to ruin the movie, but It doesnt really show stuff like breast and stuff. It all mostly funny.
And the chopped off private thing they don't show the privates, but the testicles.
