http://www.navajo.org/govt.htm (this one is only on the Navajo Tribe)

http://www.usa.gov/Government/Tribal_Sites/index.shtml (this site has a listing of all the Tribal Governments in the USA - each one has the state abbreviation of where that tribe is located)

The Cherokees of the Carolinas have long exercised a matriarchal form of government, emphasizing the importance of women and their votes.

Although much of the Nation had to travel to Oklahoma (1836--the Trail of Tears), many others scattered and remained behind.

That's what mine are. You can take a look at the McClung museum at http://mcclung.utk.edu

or you can learn about Cahokia, the center of our Mound Building civilization.

It's generally best to choose a nation though---even during the time of the Mounds, we were different groups speaking different languages. We also wore pearls and copper, just to tell you.
