It makes the show more participatory for the audience, at home and in the studio. I don't know when they started it, but they've always had chants before, the first and most basic was "Jerry, Jerry!". Then they started chanting the security's name. sometimes the chants are specific to the show and aren't really repeated, but I think I've heard a couple of your examples multiple times.
