100. they're basically the same player with the same game in different eras. The difference being in league competitiveness during the times. If you look at, MJ was not near dominance until the "bad boy" Pistons were dismantled so he had the 90s with barkely, olajawon and ewing, a great class, but nowhere near the today's era. Kobe's era is far better if you look at his draft class with Iverson, Steve Nash, Jermaine O'neil among others compared to jordan's with great players like Olajawon and Barkely, but little after that. Even if you look at the time around those classes Ewing came out in '85, but Kobe's era includes the only rival to the '96 the '03 with Lebron, Wade, and Anthony as well as Chris Bosh and more. Also, you can't compare the two, because the game is always becoming better. You can't compare a jerry west with a larry bird, both incredibly talented winners but larry bird had to be better because he came after (this coming from a Laker fan).
