I am looking for apartments that are for people that are low-income.

Go to the local H.U.D. office or Public Welfare. Subsidized apartments are funding by the Federal Government and there is an application necessary as well as a usually short, but sometimes long waiting period once you become elligible.

Well the best thing for you is to see if you qualify for a home loan
that way you do''not lose anything as far as time go's .
See if you rent the payment is going up this year i lived at some and for a 2 bed 1 bath i was apying 530. now this year it went up to 750. a month, if you are low income you can buy a house with help from the gov with little or no down try that first you may get one cheap and you will pay for it in less time and get equity
