I drive a PEUGEOT. I don't drive slow I drive to the speed limit. My car is not about to fall apart.
I think what happen is that your partner is experienced on driving on country roads and the people he follows are not. Its just coincidence that they drive peugeots.

The car is made in France. Everyone knows anything made in France is junk and could fall apart at any second. It would be safer for it to fall apart at a slow speed rather than high speed.

They're probably too afraid to drive fast in case somebody jumps out in front of their car to look at the makers' name badge to see how it's spelled...

Peugeot by their own admission sell on style. (as a motor engineer I could make an ungenerous comment here). So possibly they are often purchased by people who are not really in to motoring in terms of being confident and involved.

Before I can answer your question, you will have to tell what a poegeot is.
Your search for 'poegeot' did not match any dictionary results.
But what ever it may happen to be, to say all who happen to drive it act one way, is defined here:
prejudice (n.) An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts.
prejudice (n.) The act or state of holding unreasonable preconceived judgments or convictions

Thats a bit unfair, the same could be said about Rover drivers.
Personally, I stick to the speed limits, and if anybody tail-gates I slow down even more to really **** them off!
Ha!
